About Emily Koehl

Storytelling has been my obsession since I was old enough to crack open a book. Growing up in Atlanta, I was the kid who always had a novel in hand, endlessly chasing that feeling of losing myself in a great story. In high school, I discovered that stories could be told without words and dove headfirst into still and motion photography. That visual curiosity followed me to the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, where I started connecting the dots between image, word, and meaning. After graduation, graphic design entered the picture. Continuing education at Emory sharpened that skill set and expanded my toolkit across both print and digital, adding another dimension to the way I think about communication. I went back to school at Georgia State University and earned my MBA with a concentration in Marketing. That experience pushed me to think more strategically about audiences, brands, and what actually makes people pay attention. Today I work across writing, design, visual storytelling, and marketing strategy. I've been lucky to collaborate with people and organizations who believe, like I do, that the written and the visual are always stronger together
